Particle collection is a central component of the in-game economy in Rocket Monsters, as it provides players with a way to earn $P through their activities in the PVP and PVE portion of the game.
In PVP, players can battle for Particles in FloorX, harvesting it or killing each other to loot their opponents $P.
In open world PVE gameplay, players can use specialized passive Particle Collectors that are equipped with various parts that can wear out over time. These collectors are powered by batteries, and players will need to purchase these resources from shops within the game or from other players in order to keep their collectors running.
Particle collection is the fundamental driver of conflict in the Rocket Monsters Universe. Players competing for limited resources creates a healthy and engaging economy that is attractive to both casual and dedicated players, and keeps players engaged in both PVP and PVE aspects of the game.
